Terms & Conditions

Terms and Conditions of Travel

Peru Grand Travel (PGT) appreciates your trust in choosing us for your journey through Peru. We are committed to providing carefully coordinated travel services and experiences.

Please read the following terms and conditions carefully before confirming your reservation. These conditions contain important information regarding documentation, payments, cancellations, responsibilities, and the operation of your travel services.

By confirming your reservation with Peru Grand Travel, you acknowledge and accept the applicable terms, conditions, and policies described below.

01

Documentation

To confirm your reservation, you must provide a clear copy of a valid passport with at least six months of validity from your date of travel.

Peru Grand Travel will not be responsible for costs incurred as a result of inappropriate, incomplete, forgotten, or expired travel documents.

Travelers who plan to spend more than 60 days in Peru will be subject to an additional 18% IGV tax on the value of the reserved program.

Student Documentation

University students booking services for which a student benefit applies, including the Inca Trail and Machu Picchu where applicable, must provide the required student identification issued by their university.

According to the conditions provided by PGT, the traveler must be under 25 years old and the student ID must include:

  • University information
  • Student information
  • A photograph of the student
  • An expiration date no more than one year from the date of entry to the attraction

A scanned copy must be provided at the time of booking, and the original document must be carried by the traveler at the beginning of the tour.

02

National Holidays

During bank holidays, national holidays, or important local celebrations in Peru, additional charges may apply according to the rates and policies established by our service providers.

These periods may include Christmas, New Year, Independence Day, Easter, Cusco festivities, and other national or regional holidays.

03

Travel Insurance

Before traveling, PGT strongly recommends purchasing comprehensive travel insurance.

We recommend coverage for accidents, medical expenses, emergency repatriation, rescue or air ambulance services, trip cancellation, and lost or damaged luggage.

Travelers are encouraged to send a copy of their travel insurance documentation to their PGT travel consultant before arrival.

If a traveler chooses not to purchase travel insurance, Peru Grand Travel will not assume responsibility for expenses arising from the circumstances described above.

04

Domestic Flights

Once domestic airline tickets have been issued, they are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Flight tickets may be rescheduled when permitted by the airline, subject to availability, fare conditions, and any applicable change fees or penalties.

05

Reservation Confirmation & Payment

For most travel programs, a 25% deposit of the total package price is required to confirm the reservation.

Unless otherwise specified, amounts are expressed in U.S. dollars (USD) and payment can be made through the payment methods available through PGT.

The remaining 75% may be paid in cash in U.S. dollars upon arrival in Cusco when permitted by the conditions of the reservation, or online no later than 15 days before arrival in Peru.

Transaction costs, bank fees, or payment processing fees are the responsibility of the traveler and are not included in the tour price.

If the remaining balance is not paid according to the agreed payment conditions, Peru Grand Travel reserves the right to cancel the corresponding travel services.

Children & Minors

Depending on the selected travel program and the policies applicable to each service, discounts may be available for children.

Applicable conditions will depend on the services included in the reservation.

07

Pick-up Times

Tour pick-up times will be indicated in the corresponding itinerary or travel information provided by PGT.

Travelers must be ready and waiting at the agreed location and time. Peru Grand Travel will not be responsible for delays or missed services resulting from a traveler not being ready at the scheduled pick-up time.

If a traveler arrives for a service under the influence of alcohol or drugs in circumstances that prevent the safe operation of the tour, the service may be canceled without refund or rescheduling.

08

Hotels

Peru Grand Travel reserves the right to substitute a hotel with another property of the same category when necessary due to availability or operational circumstances.

Early check-in and late check-out may incur additional charges according to the policies and availability of each hotel.

09

Inca Trail, Huayna Picchu & Machu Picchu Mountain

Access to the Inca Trail, Huayna Picchu Mountain, Machu Picchu Mountain, and other regulated attractions is subject to government regulations, availability, permits, capacity limits, conservation measures, and other applicable restrictions.

Because availability is limited and demand can be high, travelers are encouraged to reserve these services well in advance and confirm availability before booking.
