Wildlife Code of Conduct
Wildlife Code of Conduct — content pending final copy from the client.
Wildlife Code of Conduct
Respect wildlife.
Protect its natural home.
At Peru Grand Travel (PGT), we believe that observing wildlife should always be based on respect for animals and the ecosystems they inhabit.
Our Wildlife Code of Conduct promotes responsible behavior during travel experiences involving wildlife and natural environments, helping reduce unnecessary disturbance and encouraging travelers to experience Peru's biodiversity responsibly.
Wildlife should be observed without disturbing, feeding, touching, chasing, or forcing interaction with animals.
Responsible Wildlife Tourism
Observe without interfering
Responsible wildlife experiences allow travelers to appreciate animals in their environment while respecting their space and natural behavior.
01
Keep Your Distance
Observe wildlife from a respectful distance. Use camera zoom instead of approaching animals for a closer photograph.
02
Follow Your Guide
Follow the instructions of your guide and remain on designated trails where required.
03
Keep Noise Low
Avoid unnecessary noise that may disturb wildlife or alter the natural environment.
What to Avoid
Wildlife is not an attraction
to control or manipulate
Do not feed wildlife
Feeding animals can interfere with their natural behavior and relationship with their environment.
Do not touch or chase
Never touch, chase, or approach wildlife simply to obtain a photograph or closer interaction.
Avoid flash photography
Do not use flash when photographing animals, particularly during nighttime wildlife experiences.
Animal Welfare
Avoid forced wildlife interactions
PGT encourages travelers not to support activities that involve wildlife captivity or forced interactions for entertainment or photographs.
Wildlife experiences should prioritize respectful observation and avoid unnecessary interference with animals and their natural behavior.
Protect the Environment
Leave the habitat as you found it
Protecting wildlife also means caring for the ecosystems where animals live.
Travelers should respect protected areas, remain on designated trails when required, avoid leaving waste behind, and reduce the use of unnecessary plastics during their journey.
Take your waste with you and follow the conservation guidelines established for each destination.
Our Commitment
Travel responsibly.
Let wildlife remain wild.
Through responsible tourism, travelers can enjoy Peru's biodiversity while helping protect the animals, landscapes, and ecosystems that make these experiences possible.
