This policy applies to all personnel of PERU GRAND TRAVEL, including employees, guides, porters, operational staff, suppliers, and any person who participates directly or indirectly in our tourism services. Likewise, we encourage our visitors to respect these principles throughout their travel experience.

Perú Grand Travel Group S.A.C. is a legally registered business fulfilling all the norms and requisites determined by the Peruvian government. Our company pays income tax called IGV which at the moment is 18% as well as paying a yearly tax of 30% on our annual earnings. Our taxes are carefully monitored and paid for by our accountant.

We never try to avoid paying taxes as we are a responsible and professional company that accepts the responsibility to directly contribute to the Peruvian economy. Since 2020, we donate a % of our earnings on community development projects, however this has been delayed until 2023 due to the Covid 19 pandemic.  We are completely conscious of the fact that a large number of indigenous communities suffer from extreme poverty and we need to help in any way we can, as our social responsibility.

For Peru Grand Travel Group S.A.C, now to be named as “PGT”, it is of vital importance, the SECURITY OF PRIVACY” of all of our clients, referrals and service providers as with anyone who provides us with personal data via our web page. For this reason, we have established the following policy to protect privacy and personal data.

PGT is a company that is responsible for registering the data generated by the users on its webpage. In agreement with the Peruvian Law No. 29733, article 2 number 6 of the Peruvian Constitution, PGT promises to comply with its obligation when backing up its personal data and will treat such information with total confidentiality adopting the necessary measures to avoid its alteration, loss or unauthorized access.  The storage of personal information will only be collected with the aim of offering you a better service.

PGT would like to thank all of you who visit our website www.perugrandtravel.com, for your trust and for allowing us to use your personal Information, which will be treated carefully and responsibly, while maintaining the highest possible standards of protection of data and privacy in accordance with the previously mentioned law.

USERS, Clients and/or third parties by entering our website, its pages, links, products or PGT services, do so accepting our privacy and data collection policies and give their consent to PGT for the use of this this information and personal data, to be used for administrative and commercial purposes and allowed to be given to third parties for the same purpose. The personal data of our clients can be corrected, or removed immediately if our customers request for any reason.

Storage of information

To comply with tax obligations, to receive commercial and publicity offers, and / the client authorizes PGT to store their details once the contractual arrangement has been finalized.

Does PGT share the information received?

PGT Will only share your Information with trusted partners and operators, as well as the tax and accounting department. All of the data compiled by PGT about the users, clients or other parties may be shared to third parties within the allowed limits permitted by Peruvian law. PGT does not control business partners, allied partners or third party associates. PGT does however work closely with partners who agree to comply with the Privacy Policy and Data Protection policies of PGT. However, third party providers who appear on our website are NOT obliged to directly comply with our Privacy Policy and data Protection and for this reason we cannot be responsible for the data they may collect on their respective websites.

Third party service providers

Third party providers who offer services to PGT that require access to the USER /CLIENT information may do so to be able to perform their function as a service provider and cannot use this information for other purposes.

Will PGT Publish my Personal Information?

PGT will NOT publish personal Information partially or entirely. Any of the personal data we have stored about you, will not be published unless it is required to do so by Peruvian law or judicial administration that oblige us to do so.

How secure is my information?

It is important to protect your computer from unauthorized access. Make sure you disconnect/ securely leave the website if you are using someone else’s or a public computer. PGT has adopted measures of security compliant with the legal norms to protect your personal information. However, it is vitally important to understand that these measures are not impregnable, yet any third party is prohibited to use your personal Information or data found on any of PGT´s platforms, without prior consent from the person it is related to. Whether that be other website users, clients or service providers.

PROHIBITED Use of Information

It is completely prohibited that other users, clients or third parties use Information that divulges information or affects the privacy of other users, registered users or third parties. The responsibility of doing so, is completely at the discretion of the issuing party.

As previously mentioned PGT takes the issue of privacy of your Information very seriously, to make sure that the personal information you give us is secure. PGT trains and educates its staff members how to strictly comply with these standards of privacy, within its organization.

Complying with Privacy of Information Policies

If you, as the USER,CLIENT OR THIRD PARTY, feels that PGT has not complied with the Privacy and data collection policies, in any way, please contact us via Email at: info@perugrandtravel.com explaining how we have not complied with the policy.

Changes to the Privacy Policy

If PGT makes any changes to the terms mentioned in the current Privacy and Data Protection Policy, the changes will be published in the said document in such a way that the USER/CLIENT /THIRD PARTY is always informed about how their information will be shared and respecting the norms of the Protection of personal data in Peru. PGT may change, modify add or remove parts of this policy at any time.

In the event that PGT needs to use your Personal Information for a reason not stated in our policy, we will notify you via the E mail address you have given us, to confirm your authorization. If we do not hear from you in the stipulated timeframe, we will understand that you are in agreement with the usage of your information in the stipulated manner.

PERÚ GRAND TRAVEL is thankful for your preference; without doubt we are dedicated to making this holiday, one of the best moments of your life. Please read carefully our policies, terms and conditions stated below.

1). Documentation: To confirm your reservation, it is necessary to send us a clear copy of your VALID passport with at least 6 months validity from your date of travel. PERÚ GRAND TRAVEL will not be responsible for any costs that are incurred because of inappropriate or expired documents or in the event that you forget your travel documents.

For travelers who plan to spend more than 60 days in Peru, we will add 18% tax (IGV) to the value of the program you have reserved.

University students who book the Inca Trail and Machu Picchu, are required to bring their student ID card emitted by your university and you must be under 25 years old, with the following information: Details of the university, details of the student, a photo of the student, an expiry date, no greater than one year from the entrance to these attractions (please scan and send via E mail at the time of booking) and bring the document with you for the beginning of the tour.

2) National Holidays: When there are bank holidays or national holidays, in the different destinations of Peru; for example, Christmas, New Year, Independence Day, Easter, Cusco holidays, amongst others, we will apply an additional cost to cover the costs and policies of our service providers.

3) Travel Insurance: Before you decide to travel, we highly recommend to purchase your travel insurance policy that covers you for accidents, medical costs, emergency repatriation, rescue or air ambulance. We also recommend that you add coverage for cancellations, of your tour and loss of luggage. Please send a copy of your travel insurance to the e-mail address of your sales executive.

By not contracting your travel insurance, PERU GRAND TRAVEL will not be responsible for any of the situations mentioned above.

4) Reservation of domestic flights: Once your airfares have been emitted, they are not refundable or transferable. Airfares may be reprogrammed depending on availability and by paying any incurred penalties for the change.

5).- Confirmed Reservation and remaining payment amount: Once the purchase of your tour has been confirmed, we only need a first payment of 25% of the package price. All amounts are in US DOLLARS and payment can be made via any of our payment methods. The remaining amount (75%) can be paid in cash (dollars) on arrival in Cusco, or VIA online at most 15 days before your arrival in Peru. Transaction costs or bank fees will be covered by the client and are not included in the price of our tours.  

In the event that you do not pay the final amount, PERU GRAND TRAVEL has the power to cancel the tour without giving notice and proceed with the corresponding authorities   for damages, as stated in the article 1331 of the Peruvian Civil Code, agreed in the article 1341 by the same legal body.

6) Under age children: Depending on the chosen programme, there will be corresponding discounts applicable on certain services for young children.

7) Pick-up times: The pick-up time for your tour will be stated in the itinerary. The tourist should be ready and waiting at the agreed time in the lobby of the hotel. If you are not ready at the specified time, the agency will not be responsible for hold-ups or cancellation of the pick-up by our transport partners, as this is a previously established time. If we receive the tourist under the influence of alcohol or drugs, we will proceed to cancel the tour, with no rights to a refund or any rescheduling of the tour.

8) Hotels: The company reserves the right to replace hotels of the same category, in their touristic packages. This is due to the availability in each hotel of choice in Peru and PERU GRAND TRAVEL comply with the Peruvian Civil code, article 1277.

In the case of early check in and late check out there will be an additional charge which is dictated by the policies of each individual hotel. 

9) Inca Trail, Huayna Picchu Mountain and Machu Picchu Mountain: These particular services included in adventure tourism, are subject to government restrictions for their maintenance, protection and conservation. They are also dependent on permits, limiting the amount of people who do these activities each day.  For this reason, you should reserve these activities well in advance and with prior consultation about availability, due to their high demand.

10) Updating information on our website: The company reserves the right to change any information that appears on the website.

11) Lost or stolen belongings: for the duration of your tour, PERU GRAND TRAVEL will not be responsible for the loss of your personal belongings, if your items are stolen or if your luggage is damaged in any way. For this reason, it is important to take care of your personal belongings for the duration of the tour.

12) Cancellations and refunds: If a request for a refund has been receivedthe following applies:

  • 1.- Up to 90 days before the start date of the tour.  This will be subject to a 25% penalty for administrative costs, not including any associated cost of bank transfers/charges. Credit card commissions, or any other associated costs for the refund.
  • 2.- Up to 45 days before the start date of the tour: This will be subject to a 50% penalty for administrative costs, not including the associated cost of bank transfers/charges. Credit card commissions, or any other associated costs for the refund.
  • 3. Up to 30 days Up to 45 days before the start date of the tour: This will be subject to a 100% penalty for administrative costs.

Group cancellations: Up to 60 days before the start date of the tour.  Will be subject to a 50% penalty of the total cost of the tour. Up to 30 days before the start date of the tour.  Will be subject to a 100% penalty of the total cost of the tour.

In the same way, there will be no refund or credit for the absence or cancellation by the tourist, of any activities of the programme that has been arranged.

13). In Event of Force Majeure: In case unpredictable events happens within the reservation process or at the execution of an itinerary, such as natural disasters strikes, stoppages, among others, which are not under PERU GRAND TRAVEL control, the trips programs will be modified, postponed and even canceled. We will ensure that these modifications do not harm the integrity and safety of our passengers, in compliance with the law 29408, the General Tourism Law which is in force in our country, therefore, any contracted services that are lost will be treated with great care for the benefit of the passenger.

14) The Clients responsibility: The agency will not be responsible nor be obliged to resolve issues of any damages, illnesses, death, or altercations with other passengers that could happen during the tour. The client is responsible for any extra costs regarding to these situations.

15) Our responsibility: PERU GRAND TRAVEL is committed to offer any services requested by the tourist at their request (in a shared or private service). Throughout the tour, we will supply a quality service in accordance to the norms established by the tourism law Number. 29408, mentioned in article 28.

Important Considerations:

We request that you advise us of any allergies, illnesses physical, ,psychological or psychiatric conditions, which require medication, general conditions of the passenger, special characteristics food preferences, restrictions, etc.  Please consult your doctor for your prescription of additional, required medication in the event of loss.

Travel in Peru requires a level of patience, flexibility, empathy, adaptation and a good sense of humour, as unexpected events can and do happen, while you are on a tour in Peru.

Fundamental Jurisdiction:

In effect of the present contract, both parties agree to comply with the conditions mentioned, for the purpose of offering the client total security for the duration of their time in Peru. We comply with all the tourism legislation required to be a travel agency. Stated in Peruvian Law.
