Day 1: Cusco – Cachora – Cocamasana – Rosalina Beach

Your journey of a lifetime begins at 4:00 AM as we leave Cusco behind and journey toward Cachora. Arriving around 7:30 AM, you’ll fuel up with a delicious breakfast while feeling the incredible anticipation of the trail ahead. Meet our local team and step onto the legendary Choquequirao trek.

After two hours of hiking, we reach the breathtaking Capuliyoc viewpoint (2,915 m / 9,563 ft), where the immense Apurímac Canyon unveils itself in all its grandeur. Descending toward Coca Masana (2,330 m / 7,644 ft), you’ll feel the air warm up as the vibrant Andean landscape comes alive with exotic flora and wildlife. We finish the day at Playa Rosalina (1,550 m / 5,085 ft), lulled to sleep by the powerful, soothing whisper of the Apurímac River beneath a blanket of stars.

Day 2: Rosalina – Choquequirao

Wake up to the fresh mountain breeze and prepare for the most inspiring leg of our Choquequirao hike. Today, you conquer the canyon! As we ascend through lush cloud forests for about 5 hours, every step rewards you with dramatic vistas, delicate wild orchids, and the inspiring melodies of birds.

We pause for a well-deserved lunch at Raqaypata, right along the tranquil Chunchullumayo River. Pushing forward, we climb to 3,035 m (9,957 ft)—and then, the magic happens. After two final hours of Choquequirao trekking, the majestic Choquequirao ruins rise before you. As the late afternoon light bathes the stone terraces, you might even spot the legendary Andean Condor soaring effortlessly over the canyon. Camping just steps from these sacred ruins is a privilege few travelers ever experience.

Day 3: Choquequirao – Raqaypata
