Today we visit beautiful Inca villages with their colonial houses – a unique and pleasant tour through the treasures this sacred land hides. We begin with the experimental agricultural terraces of Moray, groups of circular terraces measuring up to 150 meters deep. According to historians, these constructions constituted an important Inca agricultural laboratory, with each terrace creating its own microclimate. The most striking detail is the temperature difference between the top and bottom – up to 15°C.

Next, we visit the colonial site of Maras, a town that still preserves its Andean traditions and customs, with beautiful architecture and colonial-style stone doorways. Then we explore the Salineras de Maras – salt mines that continue to be exploited today, where farmers work day after day as they have since the Inca era.

We pass through Urubamba, a charming place watched over by imposing mountains, where we enjoy a delicious lunch featuring typical Peruvian cuisine – salads, soups, main courses, and desserts.

Finally, we visit the archaeological complex of Ollantaytambo, a living town built to guard the entrance to this part of the valley. Here we gain a clearer understanding of what this military, religious, and cultural center was during the Inca Empire – a preview of the wonders awaiting you at Machu Picchu.

This is the day you've been waiting for – your Machu Picchu hike begins. In the morning, the hotel representative will transfer you to the Sacred Valley train station, where you'll board the Vistadome train to Aguas Calientes. Upon arrival, our guide will meet you at the bus station for 30 minutes climb along a zigzag path to reach the incredible wonder of the world: The Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu, also known as The Lost City of the Incas.

Upon arriving at the citadel, we queue at the entrance and begin our tour of this amazing archaeological site. For two and a half hours, we visit the main important sites within the citadel of Machu Picchu – the Temple of the Sun, the Room of the Three Windows, the Intihuatana, and more.

After the guided tour, you'll have time to take photos before returning to Aguas Calientes. Enjoy lunch at one of the many restaurants (not included), then board the train for your return to Rio Sagrado station. From there, you'll collect your luggage and continue to your hotel in Cusco.

This day you visit the best places in Cusco and its surroundings – a Machu Picchu walk through history that extends far beyond the citadel itself. We start with the Cathedral, located in the Plaza de Armas, the main church of the imperial city, built on the palace of the Inca Wiracocha. The Cathedral houses more than 300 paintings from the Cusco art school. Then we visit the Qoricancha – in Quechua, "Temple of Gold" – the first temple built by the Incas, once covered with large quantities of gold and silver.

Leaving the city, we arrive at Sacsayhuaman, famous for its enormous stone blocks of more than 150 tons. In the Inca era, it was considered the temple of lightning, "the god Illapa." Next, we visit Q'enqo, a place dedicated to Pacha Mama (Mother Earth) with carved stone constructions. Then we arrive at Puka Pukara – the "Red Fortress" – an impressive Inca fort. Finally, we reach Tambomachay, the sacred temple dedicated to the cult of water, which probably also served as a purification bath for Inca rulers. At the end of the afternoon, we return to Cusco and drop you off at your hotel or, if you prefer, at the Plaza de Armas.
